Home Page Menu Tab Stopped Working

    Hi, My theme is Twenty Fifteen (WP 4.3.1),

    A few days ago the menu tab on the Home Page stopped linking to other pages. This is a problem for smaller screens where the menu tab is needed to navigate elsewhere.

    I can get to other pages via a couple of links within the text of my home page and all other pages are ok.

    Another problem happened at the same time – and again just a problem with the Home Page. I have the ‘Hide Page & Post Titles’ Plugin and this has stopped hiding the title ‘Home’ even though the check box is ticked for the page.

    The Plugin works for the other pages even though momentarily the title is seen (but I think this was always the case with this Plugin)

    Any help would be appreciated

    What do you mean by the menu tab?

    What’s happening is that the hamburger menu which appears on small screens is not opening when clicked, but apparently only on the home page. My guess is jQuery conflict.

    Try deactivating plugins one at a time until you find the culprit.

    Thanks Susan, not had chance to look at site but will try later today and let you know how it goes

    I tried deactivating plugins one at a time and I also deactivated all plugins together but this did not fix the issue.
    Would there be anything else I could try?

    I have the issue resolved (fingers crossed!)

    I remembered I’d encountered problems ever since I embedded an additional YouTube video to the bottom of the home page. I removed the video and after 10 mins or so the page menu button worked again and also ‘Home’ title disappeared. So all back to normal.

    I’ve had YouTube videos embedded in the same place before without any issues so not sure why I’d experienced problems this time.

    Oh interesting.

    Perhaps that video was taking forever to load, and blocking the loading of your menu script. That’s all I can think of!
