Home page link to category

  • I would like to have a link on the home page to a blog Category.
    It seems links are only possible to Pages and Posts.
    The documentation doesn’t seem to have covered this points.
    Any answer here?

    Forgive me, I’ve seen once where the option is for a static page, but can’t find it right now under wp-admin.
    But I did look at the Menu option, and it looks promising regarding my question…

    Just found it, no it’s not a static page.

    In that case, your site’s home page is being generated on demand by WordPress. There is no “page” that you can add a link to. What you could do is add the link manually to your theme’s index.php template file – possibly via a child theme.

    There is an option to make it a static page. Will this change the situation, and what are the implications of making it static?
