home page ith 2.1

  • I had been using static front page plugin to have a home page. Looks like 2.1 automatically creates a home page but how do I edit it to use html? I only see a one line textbox on the input page in wp-admin

  • For wordpress 2.1, you can change it directly from site admin’s dashboard. It is under Options/Reading/Front Page. There, you can select the home page and the blog page. The default is the have the recent posts in the home page.

    You create a Page – in Write > Write Page as you’d do normally. Then select it to be your home page.
