• I am still creating my site, and am using Twenty Ten as a theme. My site is using static pages. My home page though is showing up with elements I would like to remove. The word HOME appears in the body space – I would like to remove it and place a home link on the main menu. Also, a comment box was loaded onto the bottom of that page as well. I am trying to find where I can choose to remove that comment box.

    Thanks for the help!

Follow-up: Can I just delete the Comment template from the code using the editor? Do I delete from the <div> to the <div> codes?

Do not edit the Twenty Ten theme. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

To disable comments on future Pages, uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles” in Settings -> Discussion. Then edit each published Page and uncheck “Allow comments” in each case. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options at the very top of the page and check “Discussion”.

Thanks, found the uncheck box and was able to delete the comment box. I will look into the child theme for the other changes I want to make. Thanks again.
