Home page is redirecting to the latest post URL

I deleted the post and now am getting a page not found at that URL

How do I get this not to redirect?

I had disabled db-cache and then this issue popped up.

I’m experiencing the same issue, only it’s redirecting to the latest page, not post. It JUST started happening today…

Hmm. Do you have either the Redirection or Page Links To plugins installed?

Yeah this is really strange.

I wonder did db-cache cause an issue with the redirects?

I don’t see any tables in the DB that could be causing the issue.

Should I disable wp-supercache as well?

If you have the Redirection plugin installed, check and see if you have the “Monitor posts” setting enabled. For some reason, modified pages were setting / to redirect to /modified-page-url.

I deleted those redirects, disabled the “Monitor” setting and all seems well now.

I uninstalled redirection and wp-supercache. Now everything works.

I will try your other approach.

i recently upgraded to 3.0.4 and for some reason the main url started pointing to a single post.

i deactivated the redirection plugin and now it’s back to normal.
