Home page is blank

  • My site used to work fine…now all of a sudden when I go to my URL/home page, I get a totally white/blank screen…no error or anything…I have the home page set as a squeeze page that when submitted redirects to another page on my site, but like I said it used to work and now totally blank? can anyone help?

  • Are you 100% certain that all files uploaded okay ? There would be an sftp/ftp log file to show if any files didn’t upload for some reason.

    I’d also do a quick check to make sure that the number of files is the same. That is, check how many files are within the site, and check how many were uploaded. There will be a minor difference usually, like .htaccess, any (apache) log files, etc,etc.

    Is there a file called https://yoursite.com/error_log ?

    thanks for this…I’ve done as much as I can and still doesn’t work…I can’t even get the reporting to work on the blank page by changing the error to true from false? I still get nothing but blank screen…Much of the google stuff is for very earlier versions and I can’t even find the text to update? Does anyone know of someone I could hire to fix this?

    Try removing your caching plug-in if you have one.

    I installed a plugin called Quick Cache ( A WP Super Cache Alternative ), and it worked fine when accessing WordPress via Chrome (which is what I normally use).

    However, I noticed traffic drop off dramatically and finally realized that the Firefox and IE rendered a blank page when visiting the site.

    I disabled Quick Cache ( A WP Super Cache Alternative ) and now everything is fine again. There’s no telling how much money that stinkin’ plugin cost me.
