Home page initially loading old(deleted?) chache

I have recently installed this plugin, running in Advanced (Simple) mode with “Extra Home page checks” both ticked and not ticked.

The original Home page cache has been replaced by a newer cache, but Chrome is still loading the old cache, which presumably has been deleted. This also is happening on other desktops, but not mobiles, using Chrome.

A reload, including a hard reload, always fixes the problem until I close Chrome and then revisit the Home page, and I then see the old cache again.

All other cached pages work perfectly.
