home page – how to display the updated version of home page

If you created a new page and want to set as home page than follow below instruction:-

Go to admin dashboard >> Settings >> Readings

In “A static page (select below)” option, select your page as a Front page from dropdown.

This is what I did but it is not working. The page which is displaying is not the one I selected, it is an old page I already deleted before.

I cleaned the cache but it is still the old version text.

I tried to change the theme and the real home page text was well displayed, so I think its a bug from the theme..

Hello @tsika,

Please select Default Page Template instant of selecting Home Template in page attribute section.

By selecting Default Page Template, the other elements of the home page disapeared (slider, services icons and other widgets..)

What could I do to have the correct text in the home page with all the widgets?

If you want slider, services & other sections then you need to select “Home” (Custom Template) page template.

I still have a problem when I select home page, in the online homepage the text does not appear. Few days ago, instead of the home page text it was an old text, now it is some pictures I don’t know where they come from.

Sorry for late reply.

Use any gallery plugins from WP Plugins directory.
Like: Photo video gallery master, Ultimate gallery master etc.

And activate it.

Now create a gallery and copy its shortcode.

Now Create a new post and insert gallery shortcode into post editor. and save the

changes.

Now Go to appearance >> awada options >> Portfolio Options >> Select a post.

Select the post in which you have put shortcode.

And save the changes.

Note: You can put any text and content, shortcodes etc above created post. and show on custom home page.

However, how can we do now if there are some online post (like the one we just created or the slider posts) we don’t want to appear on the blog section?
