Home page gallery from page's featured image

    I am migrating my previous wordpress portfolio site where I used to make pages for my works and i did not use posts.

    So far as I was playing around with Gridsby I did not find the option the make the landing homepage gallery sourced from the individual pages featured images rather than post featured images.

    Is there a way to set that up?

    Or my option would be to convert all my pages to posts…?
    Which I would prefer not to do since I have a good existing structure and I would like the permalinks of my pages to remain as they are.

    Daniel,

    Unfortunately, you are correct in that there is no way for the gallery to run on pages rather than posts. It would require a great deal of modification to the template files.

    Although I have not tested, one of the following plugins may help you convert much more easily.

    I was thinking myself to look for a page-to-post converter, thanks for the tips.

    And it seems to be possible to make my post’s permalink the same as it used to be my pages.
    I used to have pages and sub pages like ‘motion’ and ‘video’ so then my permalink was …/motion/video.

    in the case with posts i have to set up a category ‘motion’ and make the post title video.

    So in the end to convert my pages to post won’t make much trouble!
