Home Page error

Hi
I recently removed my home page and thought I had put it in the trash. I made a new home page which shows as a home page but when I go to my site the first page that appears is a message saying Not Found sorry but you are looking for something that isn’t here.

How do I get rid of this page as its not coming up on my dash board as a page I can edit?
