home page duplicate active state in navigation

I have a duplicate active state in the nav because the home page stays active even when I am on another page. I have hardcoded my nav in the header file and I am using “/” for home. I have also tried the url but it’s the same thing. Using “/home” doesn’t allow for an active state at all. My home page is the base url in my page dashboard.

Any ideas how to fix this? thanks
