    Hi,
I wanted to get the blog on the home page to show a recent post and the image in it.
I looked through the forums and I found this code linked before:
    https://pastebin.com/Fjpwvd4s
However, when I made a child theme and pasted that code into home-blog.php, the image on the home page turned out to be stretched. Is there a way to make the image be normal size?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

We have tested your site and didn’t found “blog section” on your home-page. Add the blogs on the home page.
Where you have the issue, please describe us clearly with a screenshot.

    Thanks.

    Hey,
Sorry yeah I took down the blog section because I didn’t want to have a scuffed version live.
    Basically it looked like this.

For the time being I just replaced one of the main slider images with the post.

I’m just wondering if theres any way of having like a slider sort of thing on the home page with recent posts, I managed to fix the stretching issue by changing the box size, and it works if I have 2 posts as well – which looks like so – https://gyazo.com/405b938461dff4a3465537e61538baf5
However when I have more than 2 posts they just overlap in the same space.
So I’m wondering if there’s a way of making the posts appear on the home page with some sort of way to scroll through them; I found a plugin that does it called “WP Responsive Recent Post Slider” however I have not been able to figure out how to implement it on my home page.

    Thanks

    Hello,

If you added a single post then, the image is stretched just because the box width is too big and single post image size is small that’s why it is stretched.

Apply more then 1 post for home-blog. If you added more than 4 posts then it will automatically slide.

    Thanks.
