“home page” avatar not updating

One thing to note – OGC is serving the 160×160 image (2.jpg) for a 120×120 square, even though there is a 120×120 version locally (4.jpg)

Where is OGC showing a 160×160 image where it should be showing 120×120? In the sidebar of your theme?

I’ll spin this out into a separate support topic for you, but yes – the sidebar is showing a 160×160 image, but should be 120×120.
I will confirm the code that is calling the Gravatar for you in the separate support req.

Does your theme not use 160×160 in the get_avatar_url function?

I’ll triple check! Possible the theme is doing something… weird!
