The plugin seems to work great for every page except the home page:

    My plugins:
    W3 Total Cache
    WooCommerce
    Better WP Security

Here’s my testing for your info:

    1. IE11 with cleared cache/history goes directly to a page on my site: (themadvaper.net/cart/)
    2. The overlay is present and it asks me for my age.
    3. I enter a valid age
    4. I notice a cookie is set (age-verified=1)
    5. I go to 2 other random pages like /shop/ successfully without an overlay
    6. I go back to the page that first showed me the overlay (/cart/) and it doesn’t show the overlay (it’s not a caching issue)
    7. I go to the home page and am confronted again with the age verification dialog
    8. I notice the cookie is still set, so I click ‘enter site’ while leaving the age selectors on today’s date
    9. It lets me in to the site, removing the overlay, but it leaves the following query string on the URL: /?verify-error=3
    10. I click home again, which brings up the dialog of course (annoying) and enter a valid age
    11. It lets me in to the site, removing the overlay, but this time it gives the following query string: /?age-verified=0796a1777b
    12. Each time I go to the home page I am confronted with the dialog, UNLESS I leave that latter query string attached (hit the refresh button)

Please fix this bug ’cause it looks like a great plugin!

  • I am having the same problem has anyone found a solution for this?

I have tested and it seams to be between Age Verify and W3 Total Cache. And only is a problem when a user navigates back to the home page after viewing other pages in the site.

    Any help would be appreciated.

My solution was just to use “EMC2 Popup Disclaimer”. I haven’t had any problems with it and have been using it since I posted this.
