Can't Edit Home Page

Do you mean that you some text on the actual page of your Home page that you want to change? Or, are you asking about changing the words in the tab at the top of the browser?

That second issue is something that the Yoast SEO can help you with, but it sounds like your question is more the first issue…

To edit text on a page, click on “Pages” in the WP dashboard, then on the page you want to edit.

The text on the actual page of your Home page and everything on home page. Seems that there is some kind of custom theme maybe?

Check in Settings–Reading. Is your front page (the one that appears at domain.com) set to show a page titled Home? Or if it is unset, then you are showing posts on your front page, and you can edit those posts.

It set to: Your latest posts and not static!

So what should we do to get into this home page? The developer is not living anymore.

I think that means that the home page is showing posts, although I can’t tell for sure my looking at the source code for the page. You could try looking through the list of “posts” on your site, and seeing if any of them seem to match up to the content of your home page.

If not, you may have to find another developer or at least someone who knows WordPress to help you take a look and see what’s going on under the hood.
