Love the theme and the Asteroid Options are really terrific! I do have an issue with regard to the use of an image-only for the header. I noticed that when this is the case, and no header text is displayed, the image itself does not contain a link to the home url.

It’s standard practice to allow the visitor to instantly navigate to the root of the site by clicking the header image and/or text.

Before I manually modify the code to the Asteroid theme I thought I’d mention that it would be a wonderful addition to have the image linked to the home of the site should the image be all that is displayed.

Maybe in a future update? ??

Many thanks for a really simple and useful design. ??

thank you for all your help so far! It says “float’ and whenever I adjust the float it does move the picture but the only options are left or right. (no center). I just put in the code for text align and the image didn’t move any…

Well darn. I’m trying to figure out where the conflict is. Not sure just how familiar with HTML you are, but CSS stands for cascading style sheets. That means some elements can be ignored if another declarion of that element is present in a cascading fashion.

Basically, there may be CSS code somewhere else that is forcing the header to stay to the left even though in the style.css you say to center it.

Hmmm, I just thought of something. When you uploaded the image, did you click the dot next to center for the image to be centered? If all you did was add the url hyperlink, go back and check because the default for the image is to hang to the left and I believe that overrides the style.css…

No I have it on center. I know how to look at the code and find basic functions like color font an size but thats about it.

    Same here. ??

Listen, I contacted the author of this theme RonAngelo, and he was extremely helpful. In fact (not saying he will do this now) but I paid him to completely customize my site.

I do recall I was having a number of centering issues and was pleased he was more than willing to put together what I needed to make my site work correctly. I’ve since made all kinds of additional changes (it’s the best way to learn HTML/CSS, right? ??

My site was going big over the summer but I took it down for a few months. My site is back up now with a scheduled “new opening” on December 1.

Your site is great man! I hope mine looks as good as yours when it is finished! Can you tell me how to contact him? Also do you have any other idea as to why the header won’t go in the middle on left or right? Also if you have any tips I would love to hear them.

Posting in outdated threads that are marked resolved really isn’t the best way to use these forums – see:
