Home Hero image/text not changing

Hello. This template has been great so far, easy to use and customize. Everything looks great except the Home Hero Section in the customize menu does not seem to be working. I have tried uploading multiple images as well as changing the hero heading but nothing is changing. I made sure to unclick the “Hide Hero” option but this isn’t making a difference. The space where the image should be is just a solid color. Can anyone explain what it is that I’m doing wrong?
