Home (Front) Page Sliders Vanished.

  • Hello,

    I just applied the current updates to the Bose Theme. The Sliders that used to be on the Home (Front) Page just vanished. The Sliders had to be ‘re-installed’ but will not appear at the Home Page but the Blog (Posts) Page.

    The Front Page display: A Static Page
    Front Page set to: Home
    Posts Page set to: Blog

    How do I get the Sliders to work at the Home Page like it used to?

    Help please. Thanks.

  • Hi,

    This is due to new wordpress rules, which require us developers to switch to customizer.

    So, now you can Set up the slider from Appearance > Customizer.
    I am sorry about the trouble. But, gotta follow rules ??

    The issue is not with setting up the Sliders. It is with the Sliders not appearing at the Home (Front) Page. It is showing at the Posts (Blog) Page.

    The Front Page settings from Appearance > Customize are as follows:

    The Front Page display: A Static Page
    Front Page set to: Home
    Posts Page set to: Blog

    Okay. I get your issue now.
    I will have it fixed in next update.

    But in meantime, Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Editor > Slider.php

    And search for is_home() and replace it with is_front_page()

    That partly fixed the issue. The Sliders now appear at the Front Page, but do not slide or move. They are shown in a Tile format. You’d have to scroll down to see all of them.
