Home/amp showing blog excerpts not content

Hi – hoping we can resolve this without support team looking at it.

sort of a critical problem

Homepage/amp/ is displaying like a category archive – traditional blog page with post categories and excerpts instead of the content. both in preview and live https://mysite.com/amp/

in WPAdmin > Settings > Reading > homepage displays > static page

in the Page being used for the home page I have tried Both

Custom Amp Editor
Use This Content as AMP Content

AMP Page Builder

neither is doing the trick.

any ideas how to use Content on the homepage for AMP ?
