• ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Unless you are willing to shell out $49 from the beginning for WPForms Pro, do not get this plugin. There is no way to see entries in your forms online; you can only see entries through notification emails, and at least for me, it never sent the notification emails. So now I have a queue of entries that have been collecting for at least the past two weeks and no way to access them. I set up my form correctly, activated notifications properly, etc. I am 98% sure this is not any form of user error. Every attempt to try to resolve this issue has ended up directing me to purchase WPForms Pro without actually resolving the problem. Really, really shady tactics. No thanks.

Before the inevitable response comes, allow me to point out that changing email settings — which I genuinely don’t think is actually the problem, but even if it were — would not allow me to view *past* entries that have already been submitted. Guess those are lost forever unless I pay the $49 ransom! Not okay.

    Hi @bexrayspex,

    We’re sorry for the frustration!

Our team member has replied to your post in the support forum to provide clarifications and suggestions regarding the issue. When you get the chance, could you please take a look? And if you have further questions please feel free to continue the conversation there.

    Thanks!

She is absolutely correct. I have followed all of your responses as well. The fact is WP does not forward the content of the entries to our emails. Instead it sends a Summary number of the entries (which verifies to us that there is an unabsturcted dialogue between our site and linked email) and then when we ask where are the emails your company response is to tell us its in Spam when we know its not. We are left with a blurred and unreadable snapshot of what looks like our entries asking for us to pay $$ to see our ‘future” entries in our dashboard. That is a very typical scam and an unethical practice for a long established organization like WordPress. Those entries are not yours to own, that information is ours. It’s the same tactic used by dating apps that show 20 blurred images of ‘people who like you’ but you must pay to see who. WP you are supposed to be better than that.

    Hi @kedarman,

Thanks for reaching out to share your thoughts. We’re really sorry for the frustration and confusion!

Currently WPForms Lite does not have the feature to store entries, and we’ve provided clarification about this on the Entries page in Lite, and in the weekly Email Summaries (where you can see the all-time form submission totals for your site).

If you have any suggestions on how we can better clarify this in the entry page notice in Lite or weekly Email Summaries, please let me know so I can pass along those suggestions to our team.

And in case it helps to clarify, we do not store entries on our end for privacy reasons.

WPForms Lite does have the ability to send out form submission details as the notification emails to your preferred email address.

However, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve not received those emails.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely due to email delivery issues.

As spam becomes increasingly common, email service providers are tightening their security settings to combat spam. Unfortunately, this means that legitimate emails may be blocked as well.

This is because when email addresses are used outside of its email address domain (such as Gmail, Outlook, etc.) to send emails, these emails are considered insecure or unauthenticated by the receiving email service provider.

For example, if an email is sent using a Gmail address, but it’s sent from WordPress (which is outside of Gmail), this is likely to cause an email delivery issue. This includes the form notification emails that are sent from WPForms.

To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps!

If you’d like more help with using WPForms Lite, please feel welcome to post in our WPForms Lite support forum.

    Thanks!
