• Folks,

I KNOW I’m not the brightest candle on the birthday cake, but ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

You need to be a freaking ROCKET SCIENTIST to install this program!!!

The very first thing that happened was some message about Web Site Maestro license expired and do I want to buy a new one.

I know this is probably a great program, but I’m afraid I’m just too stupid to figure out how to get it going. OR MAYBE I DON’T HAVE THE REST OF MY LIFE TO FIGURE IT OUT???

So…Wordpress for Quantum Physicists lives and iWeb dies…go figure!!!

    John

  • I don’t know what Web Site Maestro is, or what it has to do with WordPress. Have you read through the installation instructions? They’re pretty thorough:

I downloaded and installed a trial of WSM because of managing a bunch of websites for teachers. Unfortunately it was useless for what I needed to do. It creates a WSM folder on the computer and somehow gets invoked by WordPress when I tried to do the install. I think Web Site Maestro, somehow, commandeers the program?

So…I look at the link and, SORRY, it’s a confusing as, well….

CLEARLY this program is NOT designed for me (nor 80% of folks who want to create websites).

I THINK, someone must have looked at iWeb and SUBTRACTED all the EASE and FUNCTIONALITY of the program and ADDED IN COMPLEXITY and OBFUSCATION in order to perpetuate the caste of High Priest of Technology.

Oh well, I’ll keep looking. Maybe someone else got it right.

That’s maybe because Web Site Maestro is not WordPress and you should be asking questions from wherever you obtained that…

i would reccomend google apps for your solution
