    Hi,

Really interested in knowing the difference between Hivepress and WCFM and WCLOVERS?, please.

At present I’m building out a mockup using Elementor Pro, Hello theme, Woocommerce and a few other plugins.

Do I need custom post types plugins?, ACF, pods or other?
I see there are great plugins for your theme. Do we need to use your theme?

I am trying to build a bookings, services and products, listings marketplace. Is this possible?, please and how do commissions and shopping carts work?.Would I need to have a seperate archive for each seperate page ie bookings, products, services, listings?
so that the cart would work seperatly for bookings and products for example.

I hope this makes sense, any help or info would be much appreciated, i’m really unclear how to set this up and the best approach would be. Thanks ??

    Hi,
As far as I know, WCFM, Dokan and other WooCommerce-based marketplace plugins are developed for marketplaces of physical products, while HivePress doesn’t require WooCommerce to work (only if you want to process payments directly via your website). We also have a Marketplace extension that implements the commissions and payouts (also links HivePress with WooCommerce), but it’s not suitable for physical products – in this case please try using WCFM or Dokan.
HivePress can be used for a marketplace of services or digital downloads (we tried to keep it as lightweight as possible). Please check one of our theme demos (e.g. ExpertHive or TaskHive) to test a marketplace of services https://hivepress.io/themes/
    Hope this helps.

Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to try to help me.

    I have another question.

1.Do you have to use a theme with your extensions?

2.Can your extensions be used on custom pages built with Elementor Pro?, not using your themes.

    3. I looked at the theme Rentalhive, and experthive, which is kind of what I’m, trying to achieve, as regards to the services and books side of the site. I need to have both things running on the site.

If you have any other thoughts i would be glad to know , again thank you for time i know oyur a busy guy:).

No worries, I’m glad to help ??

    1. No, but we recommend using our official themes since they are 100% tested and compatible with HivePress.

    2. Yes, but there’s a basic usage – you can use our shortcodes/blocks in Elementor (free one or Pro) to build layouts of custom pages.

    3. At the moment there’s no option to enable/disable bookings per category (if you enable Bookings then all listings will become bookable), but we plan to implement this feature.

    Hi,

Thank you once again for your kind reply.

    1. I’m using the default Hello Theme from Elemntor, is that ok?
    2. I hope this integrates with Elementor soon
    3. I think I will have to wait until you implement #3

    Thanks Again

p.s do you have a private email that i could contact you on?, please

    1. Sure, but with a third-party theme HivePress layout styles may be pretty basic (so some CSS tweaks may be required for a custom design).

Yes, you can contact our support team via [email protected]
