Hits Drop After SSL

Check if you have a Htaccess redirect, and if you have added the https url to google analytics. You should add all variants to webmaster tools, both http and https. See also:

The Really Simple SSL plugin detects the needed redirect rule, then tests it, and inserts it into the .htacces. You should only add one if the plugin did not do this already. This is possible if the test failed. The redirect rule that is used in most cases is:

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

Which does a 301 redirect. The 301 part is extremely important.

I don’t know the rule you are using, so I don’t know if it has the same effect.
