Hits Counting not working as before after migration to WP Engine

    WP Engine uses their own caching which sits above WordPress. So when the Pretty Links get cached, the code to execute the hits counting is never executed.

    One thing you could do is use a prefix on all of your pretty link slugs like go/slug or out/slug.

    Then ask WP Engine’s support not to cache any URL’s with /go or /out in them.
