It seems only recently that the readme includes the minimum PHP requirement for Safe-SVG (5.6). Temporarily and for reasons beyond my control, I’m limited to PHP v5.4 – is it possible to know which version of safe-svg is compatible?

  • Though Daryll may require 5.6+ for issue support, I just tried the following versions of Safe SVG with a fresh copy of WordPress 4.9.8 on PHP 5.4.45 and they all worked and didn’t throw any errors or warnings: 1.3.1, 1.6.1, 1.7.1, 1.8.0

    Thanks @hendridm!

You’re correct, it should function correctly on PHP 5.4 also. The only reason support was officially dropped is I can’t run automated tests on 5.4 and 7.2 at the same time as they require different versions of PHPUnit.

Other than that, the code should function correctly ??

    Cheers,
    Daryll
