    Hello Guys ,

I am using zerif-lite theme to create my website . I would like to make the website in Hindi language as it is the predominant language in India and the nature of website makes it necessary to use Hindi language.

I would like to know how can I do that ? Currently I did not find Hindi as an option in theme supported languages .

If such an option is not available yet , I am willing to contribute to the theme .

    Regards
    Kaush Rasto

  • Hi,

This theme is translate ready so you can download Poedit and use it to localize the theme.

This article will help you ?? https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-localize-a-wordpress-theme-and-make-it-translation-ready/

    Regards,
    Hardeep

I think there is a difference betwween localisation you can do and what probably needs to be done.

The titles of sections, which is probably the biggest reason you would want to translate) in this theme are not customizable without changing php files (although it is not that difficult – you can edit that in wp-admin), but are not included in the pot file for localisation.

Sorry, in the new version of the theme names of the sections are already part of customization, so you don’t need to change php’s anymore. Thank you guys.

I am looking to purchase Vellum, which is a responsive theme from theme forest. If it says it is translation ready and that it supports Google fonts, does that mean I will be able to translate the site’s content to Hindi?

This is what the Hindi font is like:

???? ????? (this is WordPress written in Hindi).

    Hello,

Unfortunately, Vellum is not our theme and this is a Zerif topic so we don’t know to give you the details about it.

    Best regards,
    Alexandra
