• Very sneaky and obnoxious behaviour: the free version will start displaying lots of advertisement tweets for itself after a couple of weeks. It hijacked my company’s entire feed with them. Completely unacceptable. I’m using the original twitter widget now (log into twitter > create widget, then copy the code into a text box in your wordpress sidebar, super-easy and works perfectly.)

    Hi Mathi,

Just saw your post. My name is Eric and I run support for POWr.io.

We do not place any outside advertising on our plugins, ever. Our logo appears once on Free Versions, but that is all.

It sounds like what happened is that your Feed began showing the default version of the plugin. This could happen as the result of a glitch or our end, or if you accidentally created a new version by changing your shortcode label.

If you wouldn’t mind, could you send me your POWr Email so I can verify this. I know you are already using another plugin, but I want to make sure we improve our instructions so that other people do not run into this confusion as well.

    [email protected]

    Thanks for your help,
    -Eric

Hello again. Following up on this with you once more.

We still have not received any communication from you. Would love to hear where things went wrong.

There are not, and have never been, any “advertisement Tweets” on this plugin.

    Thank you.
