Hello, I would like to hijack the existing mobile menu using the Divi theme (Version: 4.9.2). Is this feature available?

Can you please turn off whatever caching you are using?

The javascript isn’t being loaded from the /wp-content/plugins/sidemenu/js/ folder.

    Thanks,

Sure, I just turned it off.

The only thing I can think of that it might be is the “>” element is a <span> rather than an <a> element. I’ll get that changed on the next update and hopefully that will fix the problem!

I’ll update this thread when that’s been done.

Can you please update to the version update I just pushed. The “>” arrows are now wrapped in elements which hopefully should resolve this issue.

    Please confirm.

Hi Oliver, thanks for all your help. I just updated the plug-in, but unfortunately the same issue is persisting. I also tried deactivating/reactivating the plug-in, and turning the settings off and on again just in case — but no luck.

That is a shame. There is clearly something in the Divi theme that is blocking the submenu toggles on iOS but for the life of me I can’t work out what it is.

I think in order to be able to solve this we would require a copy of the Divi theme to inspect this issue further but I’m not really sure how seeing as it’s a commercial theme that we aren’t just able to download.

    Sorry!

That’s understandable. Thank you for all your efforts!

If we stumble across a copy of the Divi theme, we’ll revisit this thread.

    Hi,

Just to update this thread, we have now tested with Divi theme and found the issue. Divi was adding event listeners to the

    • elements which was breaking the drop down functionality in iOS devices.

This should now be fixed in the latest version, please update and let me know.

Thanks and sorry this took a while.

Hi Oliver, the plug-in works, however it made unwanted changes to our menu color scheme. I think we’ll have to find a different solution for our needs. Appreciate all your time & efforts!

No problem. If you want us to look into the colour changes, let me know. That’s not something we’ve seen.
