Need help, if possible, to run this plugin in our environment.
We are using “searchwp” for default search in combination with “Posts Table Pro”
and “Elementor” for defining loop content.

In search results we can see searchwp highlighting mark but not this one from your “Higlight Search Terms”
More importan url to the post does not have your query param and we don’t have higlighting in post opened from link. (We trying your plugin becaus searchwp can higlights in results but not in post)

Can we do something to sort this out?
To be more precise link to this post is defined in Elementor loop as “Post URL” if this clear something out.

    Thanks in advanced,
    Danilo

btw when I add manually your param to url of some of this search results it is highlighted ad needed.
    https://proba.cekos.rs/beleska-o-autorima-dejan-popovic-svetislav-v-kostic?hilite=european
So the main issue why that param is not propagated to url automatically
and can we push it there somehow.

one more thing. In search results we can see hilite markups when search string is find in categories (because searchwp did not mark those places) an on other instances that are already marked by searchwp hilite ignores is it as marked already. So maybe search results is OK from that point of view and problem persists to pass hilite query param when opening post from results.

Hi, yes the script ignores the “already marked” terms on the search result page. The fact that the ?hilite=european is not added to the post links, is probably due to the Elementor post loop… Sorry.
