Highlighting Days with Events in All Calendar Formats

I need the days with events to be highlighted in both small and large calendars. I have tried forcing the calendar to always display large with shortcodes, but it hasn’t worked.

[events_calendar long_events=1 full=1]

Do you have any ideas on how I could achieve this?
