• WordPress ver: 5.3.2
Theme used: MH MusicMag (child theme to MH Magazine lite)
Also tested with default: Twenty Ten

I’m using Windows 10 high contrast theme, and in FireFox v.71.0 I’ve set so the background is black and text white, no matter what colors websites originally are using.

Whenever I create a new post using Gutenberg (Classic editor and TinyMCE plugins disabled) on a self-hosted WordPress site and I try

It doesn’t work to highlight text in the Gutenberg editor on a self-hosted WordPress site whenever I edit a post. (Classic Editor and TinyMCE deactived). But I can highlight text in the Gutenberg editor on WordPress.com

Do you have any idea why. Will this issue be resolved in the future?

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
