Highlight TopMenu Nav when submenu page active – Nova Theme

  • Hi. I am tweaking a site dreamwork.financial and I’d like for the TopMenu item to be active (like home or contact us) when I click a submenu page. I am using the Nova theme. I’ve searched for threads and the standard “current-menu-item” and “current-menu-parent” don’t seem to be a part of these theme. For the current menu item I see “current_page_item” in the css. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Elegant Themes, I believe. This site was “built” by another guy and I took over when my customer was having problem due to his lack of ability to customize the page. I’ve made several customizations (e.g. button colors, alignment, etc) but I was hoping someone had the knowledge of this theme to speed the process along. I’m at my wits end.
