Highlight Text is not consistent

    Hello,
    This is the site link.

    When I have searched “blend of efficiency”, there is nothing highlighted but when I click on “Read More” than the words highlighted in bottom of the page. The word “Of” is in the search result page but did not highlight, however this is highlighting when search only “of”.

  • Hi, the trouble is that WordPress search function strips certain words like of, to, a, the etc. when used in combination with other words) out of the search terms. My plugin maintains the original search terms when clicking through on a read more in the search results.

    Not so much a bug as a slight incoherence in the way terms are handled. I’ll try to make my plugin comply the WordPress internal search routine in the next version.

    The only way to prevent terms from being stripped by WordPress is to do a search wrapping the search sentence in quotes…
