• I have spent hours looking up WP tooltip plugins on the official site and on Envato as well and I can easily tell you that this plugin has one of the highest feature counts with potentially the lowest price (just $10!). However, after my miserable experience with it, I’ve come to develop rather intense, contradictory feelings about it. (Edit: the author issued a full refund without me asking!)

    To sum the good up, this is one of the few plugins that let you style almost anything about your tooltips globally and then implement anything inside, including video and audio, without having to pay much more for some eCommerce or Pro+ BS. And it all comes for a very competitive $10 price, which is the lowest I have seen. I would say that it has theoretically got the best value for money on the market right now.

    Yet, the plugin didn’t work as it should’ve been. The global tooltip detection worked on some pages, but not on others. After a few weeks of contacting support (with 2-5 days between each of their replies) they came to conclude that my theme, which is Pro by Themeco, was incompatible. Well, certain conflicts do occur under the hood from time to time, preventing plugins from working properly; that’s understandable. Yet, even after they solved the incompatibility, the tooltips still didn’t show up in sections that were encapsulated in shortcode. I contacted the support and, after several days, they gave me the final word; auto detection doesn’t work for content inside shortcodes. I have to say that that’s an unexpected limitation, and it rendered the plugin useless in my particular case.

    By the way, despite everything, I would like to confirm that I have granted the developer full admin access and he didn’t do anything suspicious (I had user and file activity monitors). Definitely a legitimate developer; just not devoted full time, which is understandable as the plugin is quite cheap and doesn’t drive much profit afterall. I still recommend this plugin if your website is personal and doesn’t demand hasty updates and fixes.

    tl;dr: Lowest price on the market and a huge feature list, but unpredictable behavior and any support ticket could take weeks to resolve. Author issued a full refund without me asking.

    About “expand” plugin, you are using a expand shortcode to build that page, and many users requested us do not add tooltip effect in the content of shortcode, we have replied you that we will add an option to help user decide it in backend. In the current time, you can just insert tooltip shortcode in your expand plugin shortcode and it will works well, we have offered detailed documents to help you do it ??

    Since 2010, we have released 64 versions of wordpress tooltip plugin, we have added many features based on amazing users’ requests, also we are integrate more and more amazing plugins like buddypress, bbpress, tablepress, woocommerce, pricing table, contact form 7… and so on, we will try to support more plugins in next versions, include ones your mentioned above ??

    I looked and you are wrong about the rules.

    You are not permitted to support your customers here. But since you upsell here in these forums (your plugin page is an ad for the pro version) then you have invited your pro uses to leave a review. This one did.

    Support for pro users are not allowed and get closed when found.

    Reviews from pro users when you get free advertising for your pro version on www.remarpro.com? That is allowed. You opened the door for that.

    @zhuyi Really, Tomas? Do you treat honest reviews by asking to have them removed? That’s really disappointing.

    I can confirm that everything you said is true and that your support team was quite patient with me. I will wait for your plugin update and hopefully see some action.

    However, the issue of slow support was kind of obvious, since we started a month ago and, even though you replied immediately at times, no one would take a look at the site until several days passed every time.
