    Hello @danielafer,

Thank you for writing to us.

Could you please check this after turning off the Live Profile Notifications in ProfileGrid settings. Please refer to the following steps to configure this :

    1) Login to WordPress dashboard, Go to “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> Profile Notifications” menu.

    2) Here disable the option “Enable Live Profile Notifications ” and save it.

Let us know if you have any further questions on this.

    Same issue after updating.

Website load times can vary greatly from site to site and from server to server. If you can run the same test on a simple WordPress site with ProfileGrid activated, the results will be considerably better.

We have such a site available on one of our testing servers. You can access it here: https://23.235.211.190/~devrmtesting/

Here’s the All Groups page link for ProfileGrid on it: https://23.235.211.190/~devrmtesting/index.php/all-groups/

We ran the same test on this site and here are the results for ProfileGrid activated, against deactivated…

This test leads us to the conclusion that ProfileGrid itself adds very little to the overall load time of a website. The higher load times you are experiencing could be the result of some issue with the server taking time to load the scripts of ProfileGrid.

I never had problems with ProfileGrid before Live Profile Notifications, like others I turned it off and it works fine. The hosting company told me the high resource use was ProfileGrid, I have no need for that setting not good in a shared environment it seems.

You can surely keep Live Notifications turned off if not required. Notifications in ProfileGrid will still work, but they will update on each page refresh. Live Notifications update without any page refreshes. Therefore, a bit of extra resource usage there is required.

@danielafer did you really get this resolved?
I have the same issue. Site without ProfileGrid loads in 2-3 seconds. With ProfileGrid its 6-11 seconds and my host says some script is using very high resources. I get 522 and 504 timeout errors a lot too.
