    Hi Guys.

I upgraded to High-performance order storage last night. After changing over I kept Enable compatibility mode (synchronizes orders to the posts table) ticked.
Firstly, is this correct to still have this ticked?
Since the change, my Woocommerce mobile app now pings twice for the same order.
I have also noticed that the custom order numbers I give to my orders (using Booster for Woocommerce – Order Number Custom Prefix) seem to be skipping a number.
For example I have RT123 the next order will be RT125.
I was panicking that I was missing orders but I don’t think I am as I checked the wp_wc_orders table and they run numerically.

Is this because I have Enable compatibility mode (synchronizes orders to the posts table) ticked?

    Thanks

    Hello jammerw,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand you have questions about High-performance order storage (HPOS) and the compatibility mode setting.

In regards to your first question, yes, you’re right to have ‘Enable compatibility mode’ checked during the initial phase following your upgrade to HPOS.

This mode ensures that orders are synchronized to the posts table, facilitating a smooth transition and allowing other plugins and integrations that rely on the legacy storage system to continue functioning correctly.

You can uncheck this option once you are confident that the sync process is complete and that all systems and plugins are functioning as expected with HPOS.

As for the issue with your mobile app notifications pinging twice, could share a screenshot of the notification? Is it the same notification appearing twice?

Regarding the custom order numbers skipping, this behavior might be related to how the Booster for WooCommerce plugin integrates with HPOS and its order numbering system. Because WooCommerce and the plugins that extend its functionality are maintained by various developers, it’s best to directly contact Booster for WooCommerce plugin support for specific insights on how their custom order number feature interacts with HPOS.

Additionally, I recommend taking some time to read through the guide on High-performance order storage which may provide further clarification.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reply. ??

    Best regards.
