I am using WPJM widget to show high lighted/choosen jobs in a side widget. In a effort to make it look atleast ok I even removed the company logo. But still it displays superstrange and looks broken.

The city/location name gets disorted and it looks like the widget saves space for the company logo even after choosing to remove it in the widget options.

The widget is placed within a column in elementor and I tried 20% to 40% width, still looks this weird.

Is it only on my website or is it a possible bug?

Hi @flamuren – I had a look on my test site and the widget looked fine without any weird spacing like on your site. It looks like it might be some CSS from your theme or another plugin that might be interferring with the widget. If you change themes to something like Storefront, does it still look that way?

Hi Mikey, thanks for having a look. Can you share your test site so I can see if we see the same thing?

I changed to elementor hello theme and it still saved spacing for where the company logo would be even if I choose to remove it. But it presented the text a bit better I think.

    Hi @flamuren

Here is how it looks on a test site with Storefront theme:

Theme CSS or plugin may change how it is displayed. To further adjust the display, you will likely need to write custom CSS. Per our support policy, we aren’t able to assist with custom CSS.

Thanks for showing a image ??

Why would it look bad on my website when I have zero extra plugins except for elementor and wpjm to build this? Is it elementor that changes the css perhaps? Or that I run php 8.2 on my server?

Any tips would be great. I have tested two themes and it looks the same. I will try with storefront just to verify its not theme issue ??

    Hi @flamuren

With how it is showing and what you are describing, it does sound like it would be Elementor that is causing the change in how it looks. You can test to know for sure by temporarily switching to a different theme to see how it looks.

I tried using the storefront theme but it still looks strange. Since I build with elementor I am guessing that the reason ???♂? The widget wont even display swedish characters correctly either – which the normal job list does. So something is not working properly. I will try to get elementor to see it ??

    Hi @flamuren ,

he widget wont even display swedish characters correctly either

As quick test, I set up the ‘Recent Jobs’ widget for my theme, then I ‘stole’ one of your jobs and posted it to my test site. It appears to work correctly, Swedish and all:

This is in the Twenty Seventeen theme, AND with my site language in English.

So I suspect this IS likely to do with Elementor and/or the Hello theme.

Have you contacted them? I’d be curious to know what they say, or if you’re able to get this resolved.

    Best,

    Cena

@cena thank you very much for verification. I have written to them and limked to this thread so they can see your supports answer and that you can verify it should work without elementor. I hope they read it and hopefully find a fix ??
