• Hello Fellow WordPressers, I’ve built a website using Jupiter and it looks good, but it’s sloooow > https://www.visitadinamarca.com
Specifically, I observe a very high latency at first, once the site begins to load, it actually does it fairly quick. I suspect it’s my clients dodgy hosting, but I don’t have enough technical info to convince him to move on to a higher quality one.
Google Page Insights is giving as first reason that the server takes too long to respond >
    https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fvisitadinamarca.com&tab=desktop
When I hit enter on the browser it can be up to 20 seconds until the site actually begins to load. GTMetrix directly refuses to test because it says it takes too long to load. Any info trmendously welcome! Thanks

Ask your client if they would wait 20 seconds for someone else’s site to load. If no, maybe they will accept that as an answer to why they need faster hosting.

Look at the bounce rate in Google Analytics. Bounce rate can sometimes be a dodgy metric to depend on, but that may give you an idea of the number of people who may be leaving after waiting too long.
