• My hosting said that my wordpress is using too much CPU

lets give it 24 hours and i’ll monitor the server for the next few hours. This usually hits around 11:30 MDT. the process was a php process. it was repeated like 20 or 25 times. and those 25 ran for 4 hours until at the last when it shot everything up

This looks like some schedualed script problem
I have searched around, and I have commented out wp-cron.php and cron.php. I have taken out the bad behavior plugin which was said to have problem with wp-cron.php.
Is there anything else that could cause the high CPU usage? or is there anything else have things to do with cron in wordpress I didn’t notice yet?

  • Who’s your hosting? They may have a track record.

Have you tried turning off your plugins?

Anything in the webserver error logs?

Gotta admit that it bothers me that your host can see a precoess that’s caused the issue but hasn’t stated what that process was nor giving you any additoonal information. they’re the ones sitting there with the logs.

my hosting is nitro zone, and they can’t give me any more information other than the index.php crashed the server.
