High CPU and swap usage

    The plugin uses extremely high CPU and memory.
    Very often I see that my VPS gets 100% CPU and 100% memory, even the swap file gets full (4 GB!).
    The most problematic is that even after closing the browser tab does not kill the process, it continues running and leads to 524 timeout for 45 minutes!!!

    Please suggest.
