    Hi, I like the look of StopBadBots and it’s ease of use. However I have tried twice to install but on activating the cpu usage goes up to a continuous 10+%. I’m on a shared wordpress server at lunarpages/hostpapa so I’ve had to deactivate.

    I’m also seeing log entries with “wp_sbb_fingerprint’ doesn’t exist”. Our site does not use the standard “wp_” prefix.

    Any advice?

    Hi,

    Try to update the plugin to the last version 6.06. This version will create that table if not exists. Maybe this can overload the CPU because it needs to wite an error log file.

    Check also if you have enough memory available (stop bad bots dashboard). Take a look at our free plugin wp memory. You will find a lot of tips there:

    Please, let me know if this can reduce the server load.
