When editing my page I select the hierarchy viewing or display of the categories, however it shows perfectly on my editing side at the backend but in the front end it is one straight down list with no displayed tabs viewing in it, please help?

also, how can I let the hierarchy start at a specific parent category with the rest of the categories inside the parent category following instead of all parent categories displayed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

Are you referring to the Menu settings? Could you share a screenshot of the settings in the backend so we can pinpoint the section you’d like to change? I recommend?https://snipboard.io?for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this chat. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

this is the backend, I want the list of categories to reflect like this and not like the first image as one straight line.

    Also,
    1. How or where do I change the color of these categories?
    2. also, how to I let the category list start from a specific parent category and not reflect all of the categories?

    Hello,

It looks like you’ve sent us 2 screenshots of the same front-end page. Could you please resend the backend screenshot?

    Hi @moniqjvv3,

Upon checking your site, I can see that the display of the categories in the frontend is styled via an Elementor widget, and this may be why you can’t see the same style as the backend page, which is edited via WordPress Editor. If you deactivate Elementor plugin does the frontend page look like the backend? Kindly let us know.

I have tried it both ways and still reflects the same.

I managed to fix this via Chrome’s developer tools option, however I do not know how to save these edits done on the developer tool’s option, if I can be informed how to save these CSS changes on there I can resolve the issue.

    Hi @moniqjvv3,

Good to hear you’ve made progress here. As for the requested info:

if I can be informed how to save these CSS changes on there I can resolve the issue.

You can copy the CSS rules from the inspector tool and paste them in your site’s WP-Admin → Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS box.

Hope this helps, we’ll be happy to be of further assistance.
    Many thanks.
