Hierarchy doesn’t work properly

    I’m trying to set up a category template.

    category-1.php works, so does category.php, archive.php etc. however, category-slug.php doesn’t seem to work.

    Anyone has encountered this problem before?

  • ‘category-slug.php’ isn’t supposed to work until 2.9, which hasn’t been released yet.

    Ouch! That’s probably why heh… O_o

    Wonder why it’s all over the documentation…

    Well… it is labeled in the docs as being unavailable until 2.9. That’s how I know it isn’t supposed to work until 2.9. Some kinds of category slug stuff works. You can use it in query_posts, for example. Its just the template hierarchy bit that isn’t yet functional.
