• My permalinks are currently set to %post-name%. It ends up looking something like this when I make a blog post: sitename.com/name-of-blog-post instead of sitename.com/blog/name-of-blog-post

I want my blog posts and other custom post-type posts to be hierarchical such as:
    sitename.com/blog/blog-post-name or sitename.com/recipes/dinner/name-of-dinner-recipe.

How do I set permalinks in this way?

  • Hii
You can’t, Because singel post url like https://example.com/singel-post/
And you can’t change it as per your require. Only you can set this type permalink catagory base Like parent categoty or child category. Example https://example.com/parent-category/child-category/ but singel post url no option. If you want more information then go to wordpress dashboard>> setting>> permalink here you can chose your choice.
    Thanks

It is more easy to use it by category,
    but without custom post-type.

    Try it on localhost first
    wordpress dashboard>> setting>> permalink>>Custom Structure>>
/%category%/%postname%/ if you like this you can use it.

    Hope this help
