hierarchical field in Custom Content Type

    Hey,
    I need to create a Custom Content Type that has a hierarchical field to relate items of the same type (Categories with subcategories). I see the hierarchical chackbox in the advanced options but I don’t know how to make it work.

    You can make a Custom Post Type hierarchal like ‘Pages’ with parent and children posts, or you can associate a Custom Taxonomy that’s hierarchical (like Categories), but we don’t have a hierarchical field type.

    Relationship fields are one to many or many to many or many to one, but there’s not really a facility to create hierarchy in there.

    It might help more if you describe what you’re actually trying to do instead of focusing on how you’re trying to solve it. That lets us make a suggestion that might work better for your situation.
