    Hi there,

I’m trying to make a new post type, that should act like a page. I’ve set it to ‘page’, checked ‘Hierarchy’, and enabled ‘Page Attributes’, but it only shows post order. Why isn’t the parent/child hierarchy not working?

    Thanks!

Set what to “page” in this case? The capability type? In case it’s playing a part, I recommend setting the capability type back to post.

The hierarchical dropdown sounds like it’s set right, and page attributes is checked.

Do you have more than 1 published post at the moment in this post type? I don’t believe it’d allow setting as a child of a pending/draft post, but I could be wrong. I do know you need more than 1 post to get the UI to show though.

    Hi there,

Yes, I was referring to the capability type. Setting it back to ‘post’ didn’t immediately fix it, but it’s working as intended after a clean WP install. I noticed, though, that I had the same issue with the similar plugin called Pods. Not sure what the cause was.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Thom

Not sure as well, but it sounds like things are working as a whole for you now,so that’s good. ??
