Hiding the map location marker posts

    Hi there,

    I am using a group of posts with the same category and putting in GPS coordinates in all of them and then displaying a map in a particular page. This works awesome and I have multiple markers on the google map.

    However, these posts also turn up in the blog with just the coordinate information and I was wondering how to make them invisible on the blog page. I tried setting them to private, but then the map and markers disappear. Have tried some other things but nothing seems to work.

    It’s just that these map marker posts will clutter up the blog feed. Anyway around this?

    Why is this support case resolved? I am not sure how to resolve the issue.

    Hi,

    There are some plugins that allow to hide a category in the blog. If you group all these posts in a same category, and uses any of the plugins to hide a category, you will be able to hide the auxiliar posts. Another thing is to hide the links from the infowindows. To hide the links from the infowindows follow the steps below:

    1. Open the “/wp-content/plugins/codepeople-post-map/include/functions.php” file, with the text editor your choice.

    2. Go to the snippet of code:

    %thumbnail%
    %title%

    and edit it like follow:

    %thumbnail%
    <span class=’title’>%title%</span>
