Hiding the homepage from search engine

  • solarmovie.ws has hidden it’s homepage from search engine. When I copy the homepage url and paste it on the google search, the sites category shows instead of the the homepage.

    Could anyone here have a look and please tell what the site has done with it’s homepage? Did the site just add a META noindex tag to it’s homepage or did something else?

  • They didn’t hide homepage. Google removed their homepage due to DMCA complain.

    So how come the sites posts are on the top of SERPS?

    Don’t know… They even don’t have robot text… And it seems only some pages include homepage get removed, other pages are still remaining.

    Sorry for hijacking the thread but I would like my homepage to be hidden from Google also while I experiment with some stuff. The website in question is MobileFirst Foundation

    Can you guys suggest some ideas, I only want homepage hidden, not the rest of the pages.

    It is easy.. First tell me do u want to hide homepage only or entire website?
    If u disallow search engine to crawl homepage then it will cause a notable bad effect in Google.
    Go to robot txt and insert bellow code

    User-agent: *
Disallow: https://yoursite.com/index.php
Disallow: https://yoursite.com
