• I hate asking noob questions even though I am no noob with WordPress, been using it for 3 years now.
I’ve looked at wp_list_pages documentation and I just can’t figure out how:
I have a parent page which will have a couple sub-pages. I don’t want to show those sub-pages unless I am on that parent page or the subsequent sub-pages. For example:

Parent > Gallery – show all sub-pages in the page list
Sub-Pages > Favorites, Travels, Misc – show all sub-pages in the page list

Section 3.9 in the documentation you have read…

I swear I thought i put depth=1 in … oh I did but it still doesn’t work like it should. I am thinking it has to do with the way the gallery plugin I am using is outputting things (https://myopaline.net/gallery/)

I don’t know anything about that plugin.
What I wrote above is referring to Pages created in WP.

You may find some ideas to accomplish what you described above – by clicking on my name here and reading my “picks” regarding 2 level menus with Pages.
