It’s kind of the opposite logic, you aren’t hiding what you don’t want, you are creating a new menu and just adding what you DO want.

The problem is that in the boxes below the main splash slider, I’ve removed the categories all together from showing up. In the splash they show up, all of the ones that are used in the post.

I want those red/pink categories to show up in the news boxes below the main splash, but only the main category that is used. Ex. instead of showing “News” and the subcat “Games”. I want it to only show “News” not “Games”. Basically hide the subcategories from the frontpage, but keep them once you click the post.
